I am so happy with my regrowth tint by Lu. She was really thorough in selecting the best colour for me and ensuring I was happy. Amazing head massage! Fabulous blow drop to finish! I will be back! 💋

Long overdue review of Jessica James. Have been coming here for a few years now and never had a bad experience. Emogen is always so friendly and looks after my hair wonderfully. Had Saskia as well for the first time yesterday while Emogen was sick and she also was amazing! I've loved that the staff here listen to what I'm looking for in a cut, but also provide very helpful suggestions when I don't have the words for my vision. Absolutely great crew at this salon!

I recently visited Jessica James at The Barracks for a long overdue haircut, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience, thanks to Emogen and Lu. My hair was long and flat with lots of split ends, and I left with a shoulder-length cut that brings out my natural waves and feels so much healthier. From the start, Emogen made me feel completely at ease. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted during the consultation and made sure we were on the same page before starting. Since I mentioned I’d been nervous about haircuts in the past, she was incredibly gentle and supportive, explaining every step of the process. She even shared tips and tricks for maintaining and styling my hair, which was so helpful for someone like me who doesn’t typically style it. The hair wash was another highlight—Emogen gave me the most relaxing head massage, and I’m not even exaggerating when I say I dozed off for a minute. After the wash, Lu made me a cappuccino, which felt like such a luxury, and Emogen started cutting. She suggested I could close my eyes if it made me feel more comfortable, which I really appreciated. Throughout the appointment, the atmosphere was so easygoing. Both Emogen and Lu were fun to chat with, and they had me laughing the whole time. When another client arrived and Emogen had to step away for a minute, Lu seamlessly took over blow-drying, and the two of them seemed to work together so effortlessly. The final result exceeded my expectations. I’m so impressed with Emogen’s skills and expertise! My new cut feels fresh and manageable even after a couple days, and it naturally falls beautifully without much styling effort. For someone who’s usually anxious about haircuts, this experience was a game-changer. I’ve never felt so relaxed during a haircut, and it’s made me see it as something to enjoy rather than stress over. I think I’ve found a new way to treat myself, and I’m already looking forward to going back. Thank you so much, Emogen and Lu, for such a wonderful experience and a new look I feel like I can show off a little!

Love, love, love this salon! I’ve had a few sessions with Em and Emogen and both are easily some of the best hairdressers I’ve ever had. I booked in for a blonde refresh with Emogen just recently (less foils than a half head) and she did it in such a way that it looks like I’ve had a full head of foils. These ladies are experts when it comes to blonde colouring, style cuts, and overall are just such lovely people. The salon is comfortable and relaxing and the decor is really cute. Emogen and Hunter even ducked over to pickup my lunch for me while my foils were developing! For the level of service you get, this place is great value. Highly, HIGHLY recommend, I’ll be a regular for years
